MCAC - a retrospective

The festival was a lot of fun, and I got to meet so many great folks over the three-day event. Fortunately, my husband and self-proclaimed roadie sat in for me fairly often, and I was able to get out and see some of the other amazing artists at the event, plus some great music, and the gorgeous flamenco dancers.

And even when sitting stationary, there was always something interesting to see.

Gilcée Reproduction Giveaway

We held a good, old-fashioned raffle. Visitors at my booth had the opportunity to provide their name and email for a chance to win a Gilcée reproduction. We held the drawing at 4 pm on Sunday.

Congratulations to Corinne Chatham, who won and chose the Dragonflies reproduction.

I realized the container I had provided for entries was a bit small to pull from, so Mark Harris, my booth neighbor and woodturner of extraordinary bowls, lent us one of his fine pieces and assisted with the drawing just to keep things legit.

It was a long, hot weekend at Sloss, with a couple of showers, but my booth was prepared, and I suffered no casualties. The week after has been about rest and recovery, for both my studio and being. But now it’s time for more. I’ve got a couple of commissions I’ll be updating you on soon, and the Bellingrath triptych I'm eager to get started on.

Stay tuned, and thanks for reading to the bottom!
