News, mountains, and a little nature therapy
Good news arrived last week via email: I've been accepted to the juried exhibition The Fire We Share, opening at East Village Arts in Birmingham on August 7. And the very next month, I'll be participating in a Two-Woman show with fellow artist Ginger Wyatt at the same gallery. More details on both in future VIP emails!
Also on the calendar: my booth at the 63rd Annual Bluff Park Art Festival on October 3, and the North Shore Fine Art Expo in Chicago, November 13–15. Fall is looking quite busy!
I'm just back from a refueling trip with my daughter, son-in-law, and a couple of littles, who made the trip all the more delightful.
I packed my camellia triptych with good intentions, but never even picked up a brush. I did take the good camera to catch the flora and fauna of North Carolina.
Between this little sabbatical and the requirements for upcoming shows, there's a lot of painting ahead this summer in the Longhouse Studio. As always, I’ll be sending updates on works in progress. In the meantime, enjoy your week, and thank you for reading!
Until next Friday, Jean
