New pieces on the way
I’ve started the final piece in my Bellingrath series. This one is a camellia triptych and, as usual, features the lovely bees of Bellingrath Gardens. Two views of these little striped creatures dipping into pollen-filled blooms with great gusto sit on the left and right.
The central figure, face-to-face and in-flight, is packing some pretty impressive pollen baskets on her hind legs while her entire body is heavily laden with the stuff.
There’s another piece swirling around in my head. Since we’ve finally got a break from the rain here in Alabama, I'll be spending time in the garden. I’m looking for just the right lizard shot. I’ll know it when I see it, and you’ll be the first to get a glimpse!
Peabody joined me in the garden today.
We did not find any lizards. We did find lots of weeds and good things for a rabbit to chew.
Until next Friday, Jean
